Soya oil has been witnessing an uptrend for the past few days on improved buying and strong global cues. On Monday too, the uptrend continued on strong global cues and improved demand with soya refined today rising to ₹640-42, while soya solvent rose to ₹620-25. Soyabean ruled firm at ₹3,800 a quintal on subdued buying, even as arrivals remained steady at 5,000-6,000 bags. Plant deliveries of soyabean ruled firm at ₹3,750. Sluggish export demand has also dragged soyameal prices to ₹33,000 a quintal (down ₹1,000 from last week).
