A volume of 15.18 lakh kg has been catalogued for Sale No: 45 of Coonoor Tea Trade Association to be held on Thursday and Friday. This is as much as 1.88 lakh kg less than last week’s offer. Of this, 10.58 lakh kg belongs to leaf grades and 4.60 lakh kg to the dust grade. As much as 13.95 lakh kg belongs to CTC variety and only 1.23 lakh kg to the orthodox variety. Homedale Estate’s Red Dust grade, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, was bought by Ganesh Enterprises last week for ₹205 per kg.
