Castorseed prices moved down on weak demand and good progress of monsoon across Gujarat. Futures also traded down marginally on profit booking. Traders said that due to heavy rain across the State, arrivals decreased but the prices have not risen as export demand was slow. About 33,000-35,000 bags arrived in Gujarat and price was down by ₹5 to ₹765-775 per 20 kg. Around 900-1,000 bags arrived in Saurashtra and went for ₹745-755. On Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX) castor September contract fell ₹2 to ₹4,136 a quintal. RCX spot castor lost ₹12.50 to ₹3,850.
