Weak physical demand and increased availability of cheap imported crop at Mumbai and Kolkata ports arrested the uptrend in masur on Friday. In Indore mandis, it was quoted at ₹5,400 a quintal. Decline in masur also dragged its dal with masur dal (bold) being quoted at ₹7,100, while masur dal (medium) ruled at ₹6,500-6,800.
