Zinc prices moved down by 0.15 per cent in futures trade today in tandem with a weakening trend on the London Metal Exchange (LME).
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June fell by 15 paise or 0.15 per cent to Rs 101.40 per kg with a business turnover of 477 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July also eased by a similar margin to Rs 102.50 per kg with a trading volume of 27 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in zinc futures to a weak trend in base metals on the LME and sluggish demand in the domestic spot market.
On the London Metal Exchange, zinc fell by 0.4 per cent to $2,271 a tonne.
