Zinc futures prices traded higher by Rs 1.50 to Rs 107.45 a kg on Monday on pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for January gained Rs 1.50 or 1.42 per cent to Rs 107.45 a kg, with a business turnover of 20 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in February contract traded higher by Rs 1.40 or 1.31 per cent to Rs 108.65 a kg, with a business volume of five lots.
Market analysts said pick up in demand in the spot market mainly led to the rise in futures prices.
