The Calcutta Stock Exchange benchmark CSE-40 index was down 10.97 points today.
The index opened at 6422.09 and during the day slipped to close at 6411.12 at close.
The local bourse was lower by 15.93 points in the previous session.
Total business turnover was higher at Rs 35.81 crore from trading of only 24 scrips.
Among major scrips, Blueprints Securities finished at Rs 309.50 and Infosys Technologies ended the day lower at 2866.40.
Tata Steel finished higher at Rs 351.25. State Bank of India was at Rs 2184. Larsen & Toubro ended the day lower at Rs 1500.
Vindus Holding was at Rs 308.90 at end of the session.
