As many as five Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) companies made their debut on the BSE SME Exchange (BSE SME) on Thursday.

Of these, four were from Gujarat. These five companies included MD Inducto Cast, Jiya Eco Products, Majestic Research Services and Solutions, Gala Prints and Loyal Equipments.

MD Inducto Cast, manufacturer of Rudra TMX TMT Bars becomes the 100th company on the BSE SME and the biggest manufacturing company with a turnover exceeding ₹330 crore, on the BSE SME.

Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule, Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Government of Maharashtra, was present to mark the listing of the 100th company on the BSE SME.

“The BSE SME Platform has become an alternative engine for growth of SME companies by offering a great opportunity to entrepreneurs to raise equity capital for expansion and acquisition,” said Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE.

Among those listed on Thursday, Loyal Equipments posted maximum return for investors on the first day at 16.94 per cent.

The BSE SME was launched on July 13, 2012. .
