NSE to launch next week

The Bombay Stock Exchange has launched options trading in Gold mini and Silver contracts on its platform from today. A recent change in the Securities Contract Regulations Act (SCRA) has allowed launch of options directly on underlying commodity.

The NSE too has announced launch of options on Gold. In May, NSE said it had received SEBI approval on 'Options' in goods contracts on underlying gold spot price for trading in the commodity derivatives segment. NSE’s 'Gold Mini Options' would be available for trading from June 8.

Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) leads with the churn in bullion and crude oil volumes. It has a near 95 per cent market share. However, the BSE and NSE have entered into the commodity segment only in 2019 and are making persistent attempts to gain volumes.
