BusinessLine , in association with India’s leading commodity exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd, is organising the Bullion Conclave 2017 on Friday at Thrissur in Kerala.
AgendaAt the conclave, prominent speakers and leaders from the bullion industry will discuss contemporary issues and developments pertaining to the sector, with special focus on the changing dynamics of bullion markets, significance of price risk management and the new instrument for hedging – Options in Gold.
The event will discuss ways to manage risks alongside business opportunities. It is aimed at bringing together the key stakeholders of the physical bullion industry – consumers and jewellers, the exchange and traders.
The inaugural session will be addressed by Raghavan Srinivasan, Editor, BusinessLine, and Mrugank Paranjape, MD & CEO, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd.
A panel discussion on the theme, Changing Dynamics of Bullion Markets in India: Outlook, Risks and Opportunities, will be held with panelists G Chandrashekhar, Commodities Market Specialist; Shivanshu Mehta, Head Bullion, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd; Nisha Menon, Director – Tax, PwC India; B Girirajan, President, All Kerala Gold and Silver Merchants Association; PM Thomas, President, Thrissur District Gold and Silver Merchants Association; and Jos Alukka, Chairman, Jos Alukkas Jewellers.
Rajalakshmi Nirmal, Deputy Editor, BusinessLine , will moderate the discussion.
