GSK Consumer Healthcare posted a net profit of ₹80 crore for the quarter ended December 31, up 15 per cent. Net sales grew by 18 per cent to ₹839 crore, on the back of growth in volumes. Zubair Ahmed Managing Director said that of the 18 per cent growth achieved in volumes, while 13 per cent has come from growth in volumes, 5 per cent has been achieved through price rise. “The increase in sales has been achieved through our commitment towards science and innovation which keeps our product portfolio relevant to changing consumer needs. Our access strategy is to ensure that our products are available across urban and rural markets, in convenient and affordable pack sizes,” he added. He said the company will continue to focus on single serve low unit price packs and enhancing distribution to tap into new consumers in rural and urban India.
