The QIP Committee of the board of directors of Mercator on Monday approved the allotment of 3.256 crore equity shares of face value ₹1 each at a premium of ₹43.65 a share, aggregating to ₹145.413 crore. Currently, promoters hold 34.44 per cent stake in the company and the public 65.56 per cent. The stock on Monday closed at ₹40.80, down 2.16 per cent on the BSE.
