Reliance Capital, a part of Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group, has appointed B Gopkumar as chief executive for its broking and distribution business.
Gopkumar, who succeeds Vikrant Gugnani, has over 20 years of industry experience. He has handled various assignments across varied functions, including direct sales, priority banking, marketing, product development, broking and distribution.
Prior to joining Reliance Capital, he has worked for Kotak Securities.
“We would like to welcome Gopkumar as the new CEO of our broking, distribution and wealth management businesses and look forward to these businesses achieving aggressive growth under his leadership,” Reliance Capital Executive Director Sam Ghosh said in a statement.
Reliance Capital’s broking business — Reliance Securities — provides a varied customer base with access to equities, equity options, wealth management solutions and mutual funds.
The distribution division of the company branded as Reliance Money offers access to mutual funds, insurance products and other financial products.
