Arrow Coated Products on Tuesday said its water-soluble, film-based matrix has been granted a patent in the US. The patent is valid till 2027, the company said in a release. The film strips can be used to collect pathological samples for laboratories. The latter can then analyse the strips to verify the presence or absence of pathogens. Arrow Coated Products currently has 30 patents in India, the US, Europe, Eurasia, Africa and Australia. Shares of Arrow Coated Products closed up almost 5 per cent at ₹71.75 on the BSE.
