Asian Paints made rapid strides during the afternoon session to build gains of 4.25 per cent near the close on the NSE on Monday. At 2.55 pm it was trading at ₹593 as against ₹568.85 at the finish last Friday
Hindalco Industries was firm but off its morning highs in late session. It was quoting at ₹173.35, up 3.96 per cent on its previous close of ₹166.75.
Tata Power Company charged up 3.04 per cent at ₹105.05 as against ₹101.95 at close last week.
Punjab National Bank made further ground to trade at ₹899.15. This represented a 2.82 per cent gain on last week’s close at ₹874.50.
Tata Steel vaulted 2.46 per cent to trade at ₹514.25. The stock had finished last week’s session at ₹501.90.
