Asian markets were trading in the positive zone on Monday but investors remain jittery after Western forces struck targets in Libya.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 273.78 points or 1.23 per cent to 22,574.01. Singapore’s Straits Times gained 27.35 points or 0.93 per cent to 2,963.13. South Korea’s Kospi was up 12.09 points or 0.61 per cent at 1,993.22. Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 climbed 13.9 points or 0.3 per cent to 4,640.30.
China’s Shanghai Composite was up 4.62 points or 0.16 per cent at 2,911.51. Taiwan’s Taiex jumped 69.35 points or 0.83 per cent to 8,464.10. Japan’s stock market is closed today on account of Vernal Equinox Day.
