Asian markets were trading in the negative zone today as investors were worried over the Euro Zone debt crisis and a slowdown in the US economy.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 was down 35.81 points or 0.38 per cent at 9,441.36. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 126.02 points or 0.55 per cent to 22,604.76. Singapore’s Straits Times shed 15.45 points or 0.5 per cent to 3,097.64. South Korea’s Kospi lost 14.35 points or 0.7 per cent to 2,047.41.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 fell 31.3 points or 0.68 per cent to 4,597.50. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 13.62 points or 0.49 per cent at 2,753.44. Taiwan’s Taiex was down 22.31 points or 0.25 per cent at 8,734.30.
