Asian stocks fell on Thursday taking cues from overnight losses in the Wall Street. Weak US data has put a damper on risk taking ahead of Friday's pay rolls report.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 149.00 points or 1.53 per cent to 9,570.61. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng plunged 374.59 points or 1.59 per cent to 23,251.84. Singapore’s Straits Times was down 16.63 points or 0.52 per cent at 3,156.24. South Korea’s Kospi shed 27.59 points or 1.29 per cent to 2,113.75.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 dipped 99 points or 2.1 per cent to 4,608.30. China’s Shanghai Composite shed 53.91 points or 1.96 per cent to 2,689.66. Taiwan’s Taiex fell 57.88 points or 0.64 per cent to 9,004.47.
