Mumbai, June 20 Asian shares were trading in the negative zone today as investors remained cautious amid ongoing tensions in Greece and ahead of a heavy dose of regional data this week which could give further clues on the extent of the global economic slowdown as well as inflationary pressures.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 16.84 points or 0.18 per cent to 9,368.24. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 12.69 points or 0.06 per cent at 21,682.57. Singapore’s Straits Times gained 19.81 points or 0.66 per cent to 3,025.09. South Korea’s Kospi was down 9.79 points or 0.48 per cent at 2,022.14.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 fell 12.8 points or 0.29 per cent to 4,472.10. China’s Shanghai Composite shed 23.2 points or 0.88 per cent to 2,619.62. Taiwan’s Taiex declined 98.8 points or 1.14 per cent to 8,537.30.
