Asian shares rose on Wednesday tracking the overnight gains in the Wall Street and on hopes of more robust US earnings.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 36.15 points or 0.34 per cent to 10,555.13. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 185.06 points or 0.77 per cent to 24,339.04. Singapore’s Straits Times was up 4.78 points or 0.15 per cent at 3,254.36. South Korea’s Kospi was up 11.83 points or 0.56 per cent to 2,108.31.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 jumped 29.5 points or 0.61 per cent to 4,831.30. China’s Shanghai Composite climbed 28.68 points or 1.06 per cent to 2,737.66, Taiwan’s Taiex rose 50.35 points or 0.56 per cent to 9,038.35.
