Asian markets were trading higher today taking cues from overnight gains in the Wall Street.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 jumped 179.54 points or 1.9 per cent to 9,620.57. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng climbed 216.35 points or 0.92 per cent to 23,736.97. Singapore’s Straits Times was up 14.3 points or 0.46 per cent at 3,139.67. South Korea’s Kospi gained 38.97 points or 1.84 per cent to 2,161.65.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 rose 51.80 points or 1.08 per cent to 4,845.10. China’s Shanghai Composite was up 9.72 points or 0.32 per cent at 3,008.76. Taiwan’s Taiex jumped 145.34 points or 1.68 per cent to 8,783.89.
