The board of directors of Castrol India Ltd will on July 16 consider issue of bonus shares, apart from approving the unaudited results for the quarter ending June 30, 2012, the company said in a communication to the stock exchanges.
The announcement did not set the stock on fire, though the trading volume spiked on the BSE.
The shares were trading at Rs 556, a gain of Rs 15.15. But the trading volume shot up to 3.4 lakh shares compared to the two-week average of 26,000 shares.
