Graphite India Ltd has declared a lock-out in the Powmex Steel division in Titilagarh w.e.f. 6 a.m. of March 6 until further orders pursuant to emergency situation created by some suspended agitating workers who, on March 3, set on fire the DGM (Operations) Mr R. S. Rai, who succumbed to the burn injuries.
Havells India Ltd has said that the Delhi High Court has directed that a meeting of secured creditors of the transferee company/applicant company be held on April 2 to consider and, if thought fit, approve, with or without modification, the scheme of amalgamation proposed to be made between Standard Electrical Ltd, the transferor company, and the secured creditors of Havells India Ltd, the transferee company.
Karur Vysya Bank Ltd's Committee of the Board on March 7 decided to extend the closing date for the rights issue by two days, from March 15 to March 17, as also the last date for receiving requests for split forms from March 8 to 10.
