Alfa Laval India Ltd has received an order valued about Rs 45.5 crore for a complete solution to a vegetable-oil plant in India, delivery for which is scheduled for early 2012.

Datamatics Software Services Ltd , a domestic subsidiary of Datamatics Global Services Ltd, an IT and knowledge-process outsourcing organisation, on Thursday signed a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Vista Infosystems Private Ltd, which specialises in embedded systems. Bangalore-based Vista Infosystems caters to delivery centres of companies, like Honeywell, Samsung, Philips, Visteon, etc, and serves companies in segments like automotive, aerospace, telecom and semiconductors.

Gayatri Projects Ltd has bagged new orders worth Rs 50.06 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd for supply and erection work relating to Mundra-Zerda line on turnkey basis.

Suzlon Energy Ltd , the world's fifth-largest wind-turbine manufacturer, has secured a new order from the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) to set up, operate and maintain a 50.4-MW wind-energy project in Andhra Pradesh. The order comprises 24 units of Suzlon's S88-2.1-MW wind turbines, which will be set up in the Gandikota region, Kadapa district, marking NALCO's entry into the wind-energy sector. It is scheduled for commissioning by January 2012. The power generated will be sold to the State Electricity Grid. NALCO plans to register the project under the Clean Development Mechanism.
