Areva T&D India Ltd has secured contract for a 765 kV Extra High Voltage Substation from Rajasthan Raja Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RRVPNL) valued nearly Rs 400 crore. Areva would design and build the turnkey substation including EHV transformers and reactors at Anta near Kota and the contract's scope also included long term maintenance. Till date Areva T&D India has won 15 of 32 orders for 765 kV substations in India.
Atlanta Ltd has bagged an order for Rs 1,043.51 crore from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for four laning of Lucknow - Sultanpur section of NH-56 in Uttar Pradesh under NHDP Phase IVA through Public Private Partnership (PPP) on DBFOT on toll basis.
Indsil Hydro Power and Manganese Ltd along with its group company has acquired 100 per cent stake in Sree Mahalakshmi Smelters Pvt Ltd., (SMSPL) which owns a 8,400 tonnes per year silico manganese smelter at Garbham, Vizianagaram district in Andhra Pradesh. Indsil would have a 51 per cent stake in SMSPL which would become a material subsidiary of Indsil Hydro Power & Manganese Ltd. Upon acquisition the capacity will be enhanced to 13,200 TPY of silico manganese by way of a combination of de-bottlenecking and capacity modification measures.
Tide Water Oil (India) Ltd has acquired 100 per cent shares of Veedol International Ltd (VIL), registered in the United Kingdom and a wholly owned subsidiary of BP Plc, on October 19.
Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd's Board of Directors will, on November 5, consider rights issue/other instruments to meet the fund requirements.
