ICICI Securities has formed an alliance with Collins Stewart Hawkpoint, a financial advisory group listed on the London Stock Exchange, to ensure easy and cost-efficient joint access to their respective core markets.

“The main objective of this alliance is to give access to our clients in both Indian as well as the UK and European markets. It is a value addition for our clients,” said Mr Ajay Saraf, Executive Director, ICICI Securities.

The alliance covers a wide range of investment banking and institutional sales activities, including corporate advisory services, research led agency securities trading and capital markets advice.

“India is of growing interest to UK, European and other global clients. The technology and expertise is of mutual interest to clients in both the countries. This alliance will help our clients to get access to Indian companies,” said Mr Mark Brown, Chief Executive of Collins Stewart Hawkpoint.

Both the firms have some overlapping clients and the opportunities to be explored jointly will include advisory services, private equity transactions, debt advisory services and other corporate finance advice.

The alliance will cover introductions of Indian companies to the London securities markets; the distribution into the UK and Europe of the offerings and placements of Indian or dual listed securities; and the joint publication and distribution into the UK and Europe of research on over 100 Indian listed companies and the facilitation of secondary trading, through ICICI Securities, of securities of Indian listed companies, said the press release.

Although the company is presently not in talks with financial groups in any other countries, the formation of future alliances cannot be ruled out.
