IDFC stayed ahead of the pack on the NSE near the close on Friday. At 3.15 pm the share had built up gains of 5.09 per cent to quote at ₹155.80 as against ₹148.25 at close yesterday.
The markets were on a roll today, with the Sensex soaring 519.50 points or 1.9 per cent to 27,865.83 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty jumping 153 points or 1.87 per cent to 8,322.20.
HDFC made strides on the NSE as well to hold gains of 3.88 per cent at ₹1,106 as against ₹1,064.70 at close on Thursday.
GAIL (India) sailed up 3.61 per cent at ₹529.1 as against ₹510.65 at close overnight.
Larsen & Toubro made gains of 3.6 per cent to trade at ₹1,655.20 as against ₹1,597.7 at close on Thursday.
Tata Power charged up 3.59 per cent at ₹93.90 as against ₹90.65 at close yesterday.
