The securities allotment committee of the board of directors of Idea Cellular on Thursday allotted 5.183 crore equity shares of face value of ₹10 each to Axiata Investments 2 (India) Ltd at an issue price of ₹144.68 a share on a preferential basis. The allotment aggregates around ₹750 crore, the company said in a statement to the BSE. Shares of Idea Cellular closed a ₹151.45, up 1.8 per cent over the previous day's close.
