JP Associates shot up over 8 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE ahead of the close on Thursday. At 3.05 p.m. the stock had gained 8.74 per cent to trade at Rs 43.55 as against Rs 40.05 at close overnight.
DLF moved up 5.46 per cent to quote at Rs 152.65. The stock had closed the previous session at Rs 144.75.
Hindalco Industries was trading at Rs 120.75, up 4.32 per cent on its previous close of Rs 115.75.
Grasim Industries made rapid ground in late trading to quote at Rs 2,750, up 3.94 per cent on its previous close of Rs 2,645.75.
ACC was up 3.83 per cent at Rs 1,212.05 as against Rs 1,167.30 at close yesterday.
