Metal stock replaced auto stock on the list of top gainers on the BSE late on Wednesday. At 3 pm Hindalco Industries led the pack, having extended its morning gains. It was up 5.38 per cent at ₹155.80 as against ₹147.85 at close yesterday.
Tata Steel came in next, spiking up 4.48 per cent to quote at ₹471.2. The stock had ended the overnight session at ₹451.
Tata Motors, the top gainer in the morning session, made further ground to hold gains of 3.4 per cent in late session. It was quoting at ₹525.9 on its previous close at ₹508.60.
Infosys spurted 2.01 per cent to trade at ₹3,870.35. The stock had ended yesterday’s session at ₹3,794.05.
Sesa Sterlite was quoting at ₹254.90 as against ₹250.25 at close on Tuesday.
