Asian stocks were ruling in a mixed range on Monday on mild bargain buying as investors remained cautious ahead a Fed meeting this week where it is expected to paint a cautious view of the world’s biggest economy.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 38.64 points or 0.38 per cent to 10,313.16. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 47.01 points or 0.2 per cent to 23,829.85. Singapore’s Straits Times rose 17.95 points or 0.56 per cent to 3,202.55. South Korea’s Kospi was up 0.06 points or 0 per cent at 2,069.98.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 climbed 26 points or 0.55 per cent to 4,781.70. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 9.61 points or 0.35 per cent at 2,705.68. Taiwan’s Taiex was down 0.4 points or 0 per cent at 8,953.98.
