Asian stocks were trading in a mixed range on Tuesday as the euro zone's debt crisis and volatile commodity prices kept investors on edge.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 0.88 points or 0.01 per cent at 9,461.51. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 22.04 points or 0.1 per cent to 22,733.06. Singapore’s Straits Times was up 2.31 points or 0.07 per cent at 3,112.79. South Korea’s Kospi rose 3.05 points or 0.15 per cent to 2,058.76.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 fell 35.2 points or 0.76 per cent to 4,607.80. China’s Shanghai Composite shed 18.78 points or 0.68 per cent to 2,755.79. Taiwan’s Taiex was down 12.69 points or 0.15 per cent at 8,734.82.
