Asian shares were trading in a mixed range today as investors were worried over the euro zone debt crisis as the French and German leaders failed to deliver a solution.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 was down 39.05 points or 0.43 per cent at 9,068.38. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 277.05 points or 1.37 per cent to 20,489.13. Singapore’s Straits Times gained 22.36 points or 0.79 per cent to 2,855.09. South Korea’s Kospi was up 20.95 points or 1.11 per cent at 1,900.82.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 rose 65.8 points or 1.55 per cent to 4,313.10. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 5.55 points or 0.21 per cent at 2,602.62. Taiwan’s Taiex fell 56.83 points or 0.73 per cent to 7,741.76.
