The National Stock exchange has revised the price band for 164 securities. The circuit window for 121 companies widened, while for 43 companies, the NSE reduced circuit limits. Circuit filters ensures that the price of a scrip cannot move upward or downward beyond the limit set for the day.
The price band of five per cent will be applicable for about 142 stocks. Indiabulls Securities, D B Realty, Emkay Global Financial Services are some stocks under this category. Now, 129 stocks are in the 10 per cent price band. Brooks Laboratories, Manappuram Finance, Provogue (India) are a few securities in this category.
No circuit filters are applicable on scrips on which derivative products are available, and scrips which are liquid and included in indices on which derivative products are available. Price bands of 10 per cent (either way) will be applicable on all close-ended Mutual Funds, said NSE in its circular.
