Power Finance Corporation (PFC) shares fell by over three per cent in the morning trade on the BSE today after the company’s muted performance during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011.
After making a weak opening, the scrip declined by 3.12 per cent to Rs 239 a piece on the Bombay Stock Exchange. On the National Stock Exchange, the stock declined by 2.7 per cent to Rs 239.
During the noon session, the scrip was trading down by 3.22 per cent at Rs 238.75 on the BSE and down by 2.81 per cent at Rs 238.75 on the NSE.
The company’s net profit grew marginally to Rs 606.74 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011 from Rs 600.77 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
