Religare Capital Markets has appointed Mr Gautam Trivedi, who was earlier with the Goldman Sachs Group, to head its institutional equities, said a statement from Religare.
He will be Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equities at Religare Capital Markets.
Mr Trivedi was Managing Director and Head of Sales of Goldman Sachs, India, having joined them in 2004. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs India Private Ltd. He has also served as Executive Director of Asian Equity Sales in Hong Kong and Vice-President, Corporate Finance, Reliance Industries.
Mr Trivedi will be based out of Mumbai, said the release.
Religare Capital Markets is the investment banking arm of the Religare Group and is owned by the Singh brothers – Mr Malvinder and Mr Shivinder Singh. Mr Tarun Kataria is the CEO of Religare Capital Markets.
The appointment of Mr Trivedi is one of the many high-profile appointments by the company.
