Shares of Satyam Computer Services gained over 6 per cent in the early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange today on hopes of smart third quarter earnings results, to be announced later in the day.
The scrip advanced by 6.04 per cent to an early high of Rs 61.40 on the BSE. On the National Stock Exchange, Satyam Computers, now known as Mahindra Satyam, went up by 6.32 per cent to an early peak of Rs 61.40.
In terms of volume, over 22 lakh shares were traded on both the bourses within the first half-an-hour of trade.
Later in the morning session, the scrip was trading higher by 10.88 per cent at Rs 64.20 on the BSE and up by 11.08 per cent at Rs 64.15 on the NSE.
