Equities on the local bourses continued their rally sending Sensex above 19,000 mark on Tuesday, first time since January, on the back of fresh buying by foreign institutional investors. The Sensex ended the day at 19,120.80, up 177.66 points from its previous close.
On Tuesday, FIIs were net buyers for equities worth Rs 1,291 crore, while Domestic institutions were net sellers at Rs 474 crore. On the BSE, retail investors were net sellers at Rs112 crore.
