Sesa Sterlite extended its gains on the BSE by close on Wednesday. At 3.15 pm it was trading at ₹309.40, up 4.44 per cent on its previous close of ₹296.25.
NTPC powered up in the second session to trade at ₹159.40. This represented a 2.97 per cent gain on its previous close at ₹154.80.
HDFC edged up further to hold gains of 2.79 per cent at ₹1,009. It had closed yesterday’s session at ₹981.65.
BHEL steamed up 2.55 per cent to trade at ₹259 as against its overnight close at ₹252.55.
Maruti Suzuki zipped up 2.25 per cent at ₹2,642.95, as against its previous close at ₹2,584.85.
