Shilpi Cable Technologies Ltd, which got listed on the BSE and NSE on Friday, witnessed volatile trading. The stock opened on the NSE at Rs 78, touched an intraday high of Rs 84.70 and a low of Rs 45.4. It closed a Rs 48.05, against the issue price of Rs 69, a fall of 30 per cent. On the BSE, the stock closed at Rs 47.60. Over nine crore shares changed hands on both the exchanges. Promoters hold 74.88 per cent and FIIs have a 12.54 stake in the company as on date with the public holding the remaining 12.58 per cent. Shilpi Cable saw six bulk deals being struck on the day of listing with 20.89 lakh shares worth Rs 13.13 crore changing hands. Credo India Thematic Fund sold 2.94 lakh shares.

The company is in the business of supplying feeder cable assemblies used in mobile towers to telecom tower companies and is present in both the 2G and 3G segments.
