New York-headquartered investment bank Moelis has chosen ex-UBS honcho, Ms Manisha Girotra, to set up its India operations. Moelis has set up its first branch here on Thursday.
“Although there is uncertainty in the markets at present, India’s long term story is intact. We hope to build long-term business relationships and provide independent advice that is conflict-free and confidential,” said Ms Girotra.
Moelis plans to open an office in Delhi after six to nine months.
Moelis & Company is present in 12 locations globally. It provides independent financial advisory services in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, recapitalisations and restructurings, capital markets and risk advisory, and asset management services to a broad global client base including corporations, institutions and governments.
