Ahmedabad-based ice cream maker Vadilal Industries Ltd has listed its shares on the NSE on Wednesday.
On the first day of trading, the company's share price on NSE opened at Rs 169.70 a share and touched an intra-day high of Rs 183.70. The total traded quantity was 5.19 lakh shares, according to a release.
As on March 31 this year, promoters' stake in the company was 61.94 per cent, FII's holding stood at 6.97 per cent, bodies' corporate holding was 9.33 per cent and the rest was with the public.
The shares of the company are being traded on the BSE since 1990, and it has now listed 71,87,830 shares on the NSE.
Vadilal targets a 40 per cent growth in sales for financial year 2011-12 on completion of its Rs 80 crore expansion-cum-modernisation projects.
The total production capacity of the company is at 3,25,000 litres a day. It plans to increase its share in the organised ice cream market to around 24 per cent from the current 20 per cent.
