Shares of airline companies today rose as state-run oil marketing companies have cut jet fuel prices.
Jet Airways was up 1.4 per cent and SpiceJet gained 0.9 per cent.
According to analysts, jet fuel contributes one-third of the operational costs of airlines.
Jet fuel price cut at the beginning of the holidays could help improve the margins of airlines, they say.
