Most Asian stocks slipped on Monday as spreading tensions in Libya and other oil-producing regions led to some profit-taking.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 shed 38.71 points or 0.36 per cent to 10,804.09. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 134.54 points or 0.57 per cent to 23,460.70. Singapore’s Straits Times was down 18.39 points or 0.6 per cent at 3,068.53. South Korea’s Kospi was down 4.34 points or 0.22 per cent at 2,008.80.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 fell 42 points or 0.85 per cent to 4,894.70.China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.92 points or 0.03 per cent at 2,900.71. Taiwan’s Taiex was up 2.71 points or 0.03 per cent at 8,846.55.
