Asian Paints has commenced commercial production of paints and intermediaries at its Mysuru plant. The initial capacity of the manufacturing facility is three lakh KL p.a.
The company had set up a paint manufacturing plant at Mysuru with an ultimate capacity of six lakh KL p.a. to be implemented in a phased manner at an approximate cost of ₹2,300 crore. Shares of Asian Paints gained 1.07 per cent at ₹1,303.10 on the BSE.
