Aurobindo Pharma shares gained as much as 2.9 per cent in early trade. The company has received US FDA approval for Valsartan tablets, used for treatment of hypertension. The product had a market size of approximately $2 billion for the 12 months ended October 2014.
At 10.50 am, the stock was trading up Rs 20.65 or 1.90 per cent at Rs 1,108.95 on the BSE.
