Bajaj Capital on Monday appointed Rahul Parikh as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Parikh has around 17 years of experience in financial services companies, such as Aditya Birla Money MyUniverse, Birla Sun Life AMC and ICICI Prudential AMC.
Erstwhile Group CEO & Director, Anil Chopra, has been elevated to Group Director — Corporate Affairs. In his new role, he will be involved in working with the shareholders to develop new lines of businesses, Bajaj Capital said in a release.
Rajiv Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Capital, said: “Parikh’s experience in the digital domain will support the company’s strategy of combining face-to-face relationship with digital advisory, transactions and servicing.
“Recently, we have launched MF Online, an online platform for mutual funds, to solidify our movement towards using Fintech to drive the company’s targeted three-fold revenue growth in the next four years. We have confidence that Parikh’s business acumen will enhance our ability to achieve our business goal,” he added.
Parikh said: “Structurally, with economic growth and rising per capita income, along with low penetration in financial services products, India offers a massive opportunity for growing the financial services business over the next decade.”
SEBI-approved Category-I merchant banker Bajaj Capital is an investment services firm that offers personalised services to individual investors, non-resident Indians and high net worth clients, among others.
