BHEL built on its morning gains to trade higher in late session on Tuesday. At 2.19 am the share was trading at Rs 278.5, up 2.33 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 272.15.
Hindalco Industries vaulted 1.58 per cent to quote at Rs 105.90 against Rs 104.25 at close yesterday.
NTPC steamed up further to notch up gains of 1.30 per cent at Rs 135.85 against Rs 134.10 at close yesterday.
Axis Bank gained 1.18 per cent to trade at Rs 562.30 against Rs 555.75 at the finish overnight.
State Bank of India was trading at Rs 261.70. This represented a gain of 1.02 per cent on its previous finish at Rs 259.05.
