Coal India held firm to keep most of its morning gains by the close on the BSE on Friday. At 3.20 pm the share was trading at Rs 405.45, up 4.4 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 388.35.
GAIL (India) also pushed ahead to notch up gains of 3.48 per cent at Rs 387. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 374.
ONGC flared up 2.54 per cent to trade at Rs 309.05. The scrip had closed the overnight session at Rs 301.40.
NTPC rallied further to hold gains of 2.41 per cent at Rs 140 as against Rs 136.70 at close overnight.
Sun Pharmaceutical shed some of its morning gains in late trading. It was quoting at Rs 847.70 as against Rs 832.15 at close yesterday, a gain of 1.87 per cent.
