Shares of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd on Monday hit a new low to touch Rs 4.56, down 4.80 per cent.

The scrip’s 52-week high was Rs 57.

The scrip fell below its previous low during today’s trade on the negative news flow about the company posting losses and running up huge debt.

The publisher of English daily, DCHL, had announced its results for the extended period ended September 30, 2012, which reflected a loss of Rs 1,040 crore.

The company is also facing series of cases for recovery of debt by banks and financial institutions including winding up petitions by some of the lenders.
